Before you decide

What are these books actually for?

They are meant to raise awareness about mental well-being, especially in this tech-heavy world.

They explain how anxiety, attention, self-doubt, and emotional habits tend to work, so that what's happening to you is less confusing than it was.

They are not therapy, not a diagnosis, and not treatment. They will not cure or fix anything and they don't claim to. If you need care, you need a professional, and no book, including mine, changes that.

Who are these books for?

Anyone who wants to read them.

I didn't write them with a particular age or kind of person in mind. If the subject interests you, for yourself, for someone you love, or just out of curiosity, they're for you.

Children aren't really the audience, and purchases need to be made by an adult, that's a requirement of my payment provider as much as mine. Beyond that, there's no age at which these start or stop making sense.

One honest note about the language. These aren't light reading. I wrote them in a fairly careful, considered style, something between a serious non-fiction book and a blog post, because I think the subject deserves that. Nothing in them is technical and you won't need any background to follow it, but you'll get more out of them sitting down properly than skimming on a break.

Which book should I start with?

All books are written to stand alone, so there's no wrong order. If nothing is jumping out at you, Navigating Mental Health is the broadest and the one most people start with.

Can I see inside the books before I buy?

Each product page gives you an honest description: what the book covers, who it's likely to suit, and what it deliberately isn't. Those pages are written to be accurate rather than persuasive. Where a book isn't right for someone, I've tried to say so on the page rather than let them find out afterward.

If there's something the page doesn't answer, whether a specific topic is covered, how technical the language gets, how long the chapters are, email me at help@awarenesshelf.com and I'll tell you. That includes telling you not to buy it, which I've done before and will do again.

What's in each book?

Navigating Mental Health
An introduction to mental health and mental well-being, helping readers better understand the importance of caring for their minds.

Mindful Confidence
Explores self-esteem, self-doubt, and social anxiety while encouraging a healthier, more confident relationship with yourself.

Digital Detox
Examines how technology affects mental well-being and shares ideas for creating healthier digital habits.

The Art of Emotional Intelligence
Focuses on understanding emotions, building empathy, improving communication, and developing emotional awareness.

From Anxiety to Action
Explores anxiety, worry, and overthinking while encouraging small, practical steps toward personal growth and resilience.

Is the author a mental health professional?

No. I'm 19, and I'm student, I have no clinical training, license, or qualification of any kind.

What I did was research these topics from publicly available sources, psychology research, public health guidance, established clinical writing, and organize it into clear, careful language.

That's the whole truth about who's behind this. If it makes you decide not to buy, that's a completely reasonable decision and I'd rather you make it now than feel misled later.

Why don't you use your real name?

I choose to stay anonymous because putting my name on a research based book implies an authority I don't have. I'm not a clinician, a business name is the more honest label.

Everything else I say about myself is true and stated openly my age, my country, when I started, how the books were made.

Formats and devices

What format are the books in?

All three of the main ones, and you get all three with every purchase: EPUB, PDF, and AZW3. There's nothing to choose at checkout, pick whichever suits the device you're actually holding.

If you're reading on a phone, use the EPUB. The text reflows to your screen and your chosen font size, which a PDF can't do.

Each book is approximately 70 pages.

What can I read them on?

Anything. Phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, e-reader. Nothing to install, EPUB opens in Apple Books on iPhone and iPad, and in Google Play Books or any free reader on Android. PDFs open everywhere by default.

How do I read them on a Kindle?

Two ways, and both are straightforward.

  1. Send the EPUB by email
Every Kindle has its own email address. Find it under Settings β†’ Your Account β†’ Send-to-Kindle Email on the device, or in your Amazon account under Manage Your Content and Devices β†’ Preferences β†’ Personal Document Settings. On that same page, add your own email address to the Approved Personal Document E-mail List, or Amazon will reject the file. Then email the EPUB to your Kindle address. Amazon converts it automatically and it arrives within a few minutes.

  2. Use the AZW3 by cable
Plug the Kindle into your computer, open the drive that appears, drag the AZW3 into the documents folder, and eject. This method files the book alongside your Kindle purchases rather than under Documents, which some people prefer.

Either way, don't send the PDF to a Kindle unless you have a large screen model. PDFs don't reflow, so on a standard Kindle the text ends up small and fixed.

Can I print them or keep them forever?

Yes to both. Print them, keep them on as many of your own devices as you like, read them in five years. There's no subscription, no expiry, and no device limit.

Please don't share or resell the files. This is one person and that's the whole of it.

Getting your books

How do I receive my book after I buy it?

Automatically, by email, usually within a minute or two of your payment going through. You'll get a message with a secure download link for each book you bought. No waiting, no shipping.

My files haven't arrived, what do I do?

Check your spam and promotions folders first. That's where it is roughly nine times out of ten.

If it's genuinely not there after ten minutes, email me at help@awarenesshelf.com with the address you used at checkout and I'll send your files directly, usually within the hour. You will not be left without the books you paid for.

How do I pay, and what currency are prices in?

Prices are in US dollars. Payment is through PayPal, which also accepts ordinary debit and credit cards, you do not need a PayPal account to pay by card.

What's your refund policy?

All sales are final. These are digital files, delivered to you within minutes, and once they've been sent they can't be returned.

Because of that, I've tried to describe each book as accurately as I can, including what it isn't, and you can email me at help@awarenesshelf.com with any question before you order. I'd genuinely rather talk you out of the wrong book than sell you one.

There are things I'll always put right, and quickly:

  • If you were charged twice
  • If your files never arrived and I couldn't get them to you
  • If you received the wrong book

In any of those cases, write to me and I'll fix it or refund you the same day.

What if a book isn't what I expected?

Tell me. I mean that, write to me at help@awarenesshelf.com and say what didn't land. I can't refund you, and I won't pretend otherwise, but I read every message myself and it's how the next book gets better.

If a product page gave you the wrong impression of what was inside, I especially want to know, because that one is my mistake and I'll change the page.

What if I find a mistake in one of the books?

Please tell me at help@awarenesshelf.com.

The books were prepared carefully and checked against public sources, but I'm one person and research in this field moves. If something is wrong, I want to correct it and send an updated file to everyone who bought it. An error report is a favour, not a complaint.

Can I contact you?

Yes, and please do at help@awarenesshelf.com. I read every message myself and answer within two days, usually sooner.
